Safety Center
Swingby is built so a stranger can never find or target your family.
You’re anonymous unless you connect
People you haven't connected with can't see your children, your check-ins, or your location. Parks show only an anonymous busyness level. There's no directory of children and no way to search for a child — families can only be found by name to send a connection request, never their kids, check-ins, or location, and you can turn even that off.
The “kids your age” hint is protected
The hint that kids around your kids' ages are at a park is only for parents who've added their own kids, is deliberately fuzzy, and is withheld until enough families are present that it can never point to one child.
Trust comes from your community — not a badge
We don't run background checks or hand out a “verified safe” badge. A checkmark can't tell you someone is safe around children, and it can make you let your guard down. Instead, when you're deciding whether to connect, you see how many families you already trust have vouched for someone — the same way you'd vet a family through mutual friends in real life.
Block, mute, and report
You can block someone (they disappear from your world), quietly mute them, or report anyone who makes you uncomfortable. Reports go straight to our team for review, and we suspend accounts that break the rules.
Go quiet anytime
The “Go quiet” toggle hides all your check-ins and meet-ups from everyone until you turn it back on — useful any time you want to lie low.
Meeting in person
Meet in public places, bring a friend the first time, trust your instincts, and always supervise your children. Swingby helps you coordinate, but you know your family best.
Report a concern
Something urgent or someone behaving badly? Report them in the app, or email hello@getswingbyapp.com. In an emergency, contact your local authorities first.
